About People Recruit

People Recruit is a temporary staffing agency dedicated to providing high-quality support workers to various care services across the UK. We are expanding our team to meet the growing demand from our new client in South East London, providing care services for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Job Overview

We are looking for experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and be able to provide a range of support services, including personal care, medication administration, and daily living assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to service users
  • Administer personal care
  • Assist with medication administration
  • Perform household tasks such as cleaning and cooking
  • Escort service users to various activities
  • Assist with PEG feeding
Desirable Training and Qualifications

The following training is desirable, and priority will be given to candidates who have completed it:

  • Mandatory Training
  • Medication Administration
  • Autism Awareness
  • Learning Disabilities Awareness
  • Epilepsy Awareness
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • PEG Feed
  • Dysphagia Awareness
Rates

Support Workers: £11.44 to £13.15 per hour

Rates are subject to enhancements on Bank Holidays (1.5x), Christmas (2x), and New Year's Day (2x).

Requirements
  • Proven experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Must live within a 30-minute drive from the service locations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
