Pay range for unqualified teachers, full time equivalent salary £21k - £32k (pay award pending)

We require a sessional teacher for double bass for teaching on a Saturday morning from 9am as part of our Endangered Species Centre.

Croydon Music and Arts (CMA) is a service within Croydon Council. We work to ensure children and young people in the borough have access to creative opportunities. We work as part of a network of local partners that include Croydon’s schools, cultural organisations and services for children and young people. CMA is the lead organisation for Croydon’s Music Education Hub and Local Cultural Education Partnership.

With the support of schools and delivery partners we have developed a programme offering children and young people the opportunity to “develop and discover their interests and talents” (a quote from the Ofsted inspection framework). Our music provision integrates whole class, large group, small group and individual tuition and ensembles.

We need enthusiastic and talented musicians and teachers to join our team of expert staff. We are particularly interested in musicians with a breadth of skills and knowledge to be able to support young people across a range of styles and performance specialisms. If you have the skills to motivate and inspire young musicians and artists to understand the role of the arts in celebrating Croydon’s diversity following our London Borough of Culture year, please apply.
