At Ground Control we are committed to nurturing new talent, and we are excited to offer a Software Developer position for a motivated and ambitious recent graduate in Computer Science or a similar related degree.

As a Software Developer , you will work alongside our experienced development team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and APIs using microservice architecture. You will gain hands-on experience across a variety of technologies and tools, with a focus on developing scalable, high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web applications and APIs using microservice architecture. Write clean, scalable code in C# and PHP. Design and implement SQL databases, including stored procedures. Develop and consume WEB/REST APIs. Use Microsoft Azure to manage resources and alerts. Understand and implement automated and unit testing processes.

The person;

To be successful in this role you must be a recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science or related field. In addition; you will need;

Hands-on experience with C# and Microsoft .NET. Strong understanding of microservice architecture and design patterns (SOLID principles). Knowledge of SQL and experience with stored procedures. Experience with WEB/REST API development. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is highly advantageous. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and responsive CSS.

Any experience in the following would be ideal but is not essential.

Exposure to PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, and microservices architecture. Familiarity with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.

This is a hybrid role between our office in Billericay and working from home. The day will vary depending on the needs of the business.
