Job Description: The Patient ServicesRepresentative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company topatients who come in both as part of their health routine or forinsights into lifedefining health decisions. The PSR II drawsquality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimensfor lab testing while following established practices andprocedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients and createsan atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining proceduresto patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful safe andaccurate manner. The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviorswhile focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity toconfidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successfulapplicants may be assigned to a doctors office a patient servicecenter or as business needs dictate.
Under the directionof the area supervisor perform daily activities accurately and ontime. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Performs withconfidence both the forensic and clinical specimen collection andprocessing duties following established practices and procedures.Perform verification of patient demographic info / initialsincluding patient signature postvenipuncture to verify tubes werelabeled in their presence and that the name on the label iscorrect. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstratesorganizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patientsclients employees and the public in general. Job Requirements:Ability to provide quality error free work in a fastpacedenvironment. Ability to work independently with minimal onsitesupervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric andgeriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs whichincludes weekends holidays oncall and overtime. Must have reliable transportation validdriver license and clean driving record if applicable. Travel andflexible hours required to work multiple locations and required tocover at Patient Service Center/InOffice Phlebotomy locations withminimal notice. Capable of handling multiple priorities in ahighvolume setting. Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus;ability to communicate openly and transparently with peerssupervisors and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change;and knowledge of our business. Training locations may vary based ontrainer availability.

Required Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistantor paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certificationpreferred. Required in California Nevada and Washington. WorkExperience: Three years phlebotomy experience required inclusive ofpediatric geriatric and capillary collections. Minimum 2 years in aPatient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in aretail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entryexperience.
