Architectural / CAD Technician

As a key member of the Architectural Team, you will provide technical support for the design, development and delivery of electrical charging projects within new and existing facilities to meet the needs of the growing UK market.

A key aspect of the role is the ability to interpret the Client’s brief and produce feasibility drawings, GAs, planning applications and develop further detailed technical drawings suitable for building warrant submissions, tender purposes and construction to support the multi-disciplinary team.

· HNC/HND level in Building/Architectural Technology desirable but not essential

· Proven industry experience as an Architectural/ CAD Technician

· Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

· Proficient user of AutoCAD and Office Suite

· Good attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-friendly attitude

· Self-motivated and pro-active with ability to work collaboratively, prioritise workload and deliver as an individual

· A valid UK driving licence

· Assist with the design of EV charging projects across the UK, through all stages, inception to completion, in line with the RIBA Plan of Work 2020.

· Prepare or work to predefined briefs, complete feasibility studies, develop concept designs, technical designs and support on site construction.

· Visit sites and carry out appraisals / inspections and minute / report as required.

· Work collaboratively with the team to interpret design concepts and produce comprehensive, high quality drawing packages for multiple projects including planning, building warrant, tender and construction information packs.

· Assist the Architectural Manager in setting-up, applying and maintaining Envevo’s CAD Standards including Templates, Layers, Plot & Dim Styles and Block Library etc.

· Assist the Architectural Manager to develop, maintain and deliver client specific details, specifications and Design Manuals.

· Support the team in delivering defined project objectives, to the required quality, budget and programme.

· Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and other disciplines / groups and be able to work proactively and efficiently as part of a wider design team.

Ensure understanding and application of responsibilities about the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
