The Role:

They are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their committed team, supporting children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). This role is integral to their mission, providing personalized assistance to students who require additional support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with EHCPs, ensuring their specific needs are met.
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with students, creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist with the implementation of tailored educational programs and strategies.
  • Support students with special educational needs, including SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor and report on student progress.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation and confidence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs and behavioural challenges is preferred.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, helping them feel safe and valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are desirable.

The school is looking for the ideal candidate who has experience working in a school setting, supporting children with special educational needs. You will be resilient and also able to use your initiative to guide and support children, giving them the best care they need and setting great examples to break down any barriers the children have towards learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
