DescriptionThe role of Lead Full Stack Engineer at Kinetic Solutions involves being at the forefront of user-centred design and iterative development within a highly agile, cross-functional environment. The position requires expertise in full stack development, with a particular focus on React, in a cloud-native setting. As the lead engineer within the commercial product stream, the role is responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs. The candidate will work closely with the Head of Commercial Product and lead a small team of engineers, fostering a professional and driven culture where individuals take pride in their work and ownership of their projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, providing guidance and ensuring that high standards are maintained.Software Development: Oversee full stack development, focusing on delivering user-friendly, secure, and responsive web applications using React and other modern technologies.Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, back-end developers, and designers to ensure that both front-end and back-end functionality integrate seamlessly.Product Roadmaps: Ensure that the team adheres to product roadmaps, efficiently planning and implementing solutions that meet business timelines.Quality and Scalability: Ensure that code is clean, efficient, secure, and scalable, and that development aligns with best practices.Problem Solving: Identify and resolve performance and security issues creatively, while pre-empting potential problems.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseCustomer Focus: A strong commitment to delivering solutions that meet customer needs, with the customer at the heart of the development process.Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in React and full stack development, with a strong understanding of common security issues.Leadership and Mentoring: The ability to lead a technical team, providing mentoring and support to junior members.Planning and Organisation: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage both personal and team workloads effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time.Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to development, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the process.Problem Solving: Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues proactively.Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.Desirable Skills: Experience with micro frontend architectures, C# or Golang, and developing software within a cloud infrastructure.
