Freedom Vision Business Development Manager

The Business development manager role is a key appointment for Freedom Vision and will facilitate the continued growth of the organisation in targeted geographies. This role primarily involves working outside the hospital environment visiting opticians across the North UK, with the aim of promoting Freedom Vision to selected Optometrists for referral.
Location: North Region
Salary and benefits for our Business Development Manager:
- Salary - £38,000 per annum.
- Company car.
- 37.5 hours per week flexibility from some evenings and weekends as required.

Key tasks:
- Establish, develop and maintain external relationships with new and current Freedom Vision referrers.
- Route planning and travelling around Central UK as determined.
- Promote all aspects of the Freedom Vision services and new site openings.
- Updating our internal administration system.
- Act as a 1st point of contact for new and existing referrers and handle queries and complaints as appropriate.
- Promote and attend events, open evenings and presentations. May also include attending conferences and exhibitions and assisting in co-ordinating events where required.
- Analyse territory and identify opportunities.
- Adhere to pre agreed KPI’s.
- Keep abreast of new services and offerings within FV and promote on visits.
- Report on competitor activities, ensuring updates cascaded appropriately.
Experience:
- Strategic thinker, ability to plan.
- Ability to drive with full, clean driving licence. (< 3 points)
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Ability to quickly build working relationships.
- Knowledge of or experience working in healthcare (ophthalmology preferred).
- Sales experience and able to demonstrate good business planning / results at pace.
We are recruiting in the North region, travel to other sites will be required on occasion.
