Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable qualified Senior Practitioner (SCPHN) to join our caring andprogressive Health Visiting health visiting service provides support to families (adults) with children aged zero to five. You will work as part of a team to keep children safe and well by using your clinical judgmentto support evidence-based care planning and make sure that children and families (adults) who use ourservices have a good well as managing a clinical case load you will also form part of districts leadership team and support theDistrict Manager in ensuring that all staff have the appropriate competencies for undertaking their respectiveroles, and up to date training to enable them to respond effectively to the health needs of all families andchildren. You will also play an integral part in the development and evaluation of the 0-5 service.

Main duties of the job

What will the role involve?Contributing to a range of antenatal and postnatal care programmesCompleting HCP mandated reviews, packages of care and safeguarding.Supporting in the supervision/ line management and development of colleaguesUndertaking a range of competent clinical and non-clinical interventions to support the outcomes for familiesand the serviceAct as a role model for othersEnsuring the quality standards are maintained and supported within the teamAttend and contribute to team meetingsBuilding relationships with colleagues to enhance the team working have full and part time opportunities ranging from a minimum of hours to a maximum of hoursper week between 9am to 5pm. Qualifications

Essential

Registered health care professional (NMC registration ) / minimum of 5 years of experience in a public health environment Health related degree and evidence of relevant post graduate development at Level 6 Evidence of Post Graduate Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice - SCPHN qualification. Mentorship or Practice Assessor qualification

Desirable

Management or supervisory qualification / programme of study Working towards Master level study Practice teacher qualification

Experience

Essential

Minimum of 5 years' experience in area of practice Experience of leading and managing teams Experience of developing policy and service development plans with practical experience of change management. Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads Supporting others (mentor / educator / supervisor ) experience

Desirable

Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (E-Pay / E-roster/ TAPS/ CIS)

Special Knowledge and Expertise

Essential
