About the role

We are looking for an Estate Surveyor (Management) to join the Estates Team within our Asset Management Department.

You will be responsible for providing professional advice and service to various departments within Northumbrian Water Group relating to all land and property issues including above and below ground assets and associated works.

You will report to the Estates Manager, being primarily responsible for the management of the Non – Operational property portfolio which includes but is not limited to Residential, Agricultural, Commercial land and buildings, Telecoms and Rating. You will also be responsible for supervising and undertaking miscellaneous operational land, capital project and property industry specific queries and transactions.

We offer flexible working, with the potential to have a hybrid working approach: balancing work-from-home and in our main office at Pity Me Durham.

About you

You will have hold a MRICS qualification with proven post qualification experience and have previous general practice surveying experience including agriculture, landlord and tenant, acquisitions and disposal with a good understanding and knowledge of external property markets influence and wider property projects.

As part of the role you are required to have an excellent team working approach and demonstrate professional behaviours with the ability to work independently and autonomously. You will have proven ability of maintaining and developing working relationships with landowners, tenants, contractors’, customer and partners.

Ideally you will have experience in either the utilities provider or similar working environment or transferable knowledge and skillset, with a willingness and capability to learn.
