About the role:
We are looking for a Lecturer of Art and Design join The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:
Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses as required. Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential. Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience. Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching. Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.About you:
Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Fine Art English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C Certificate in Education or equivalent Recent experience teaching elements of Art and Design [Foundation/ Fine Art/ Level 2] Knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role Knowledge of and experience in delivering a diverse range of art-based techniques and processes within an Arts context, in FE Ability to demonstrate excellent technical skills of art equipment, and set-ups. - this should include working with a range of materials addressing contemporary trends and the more traditional Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines, with experience of college-based systems used for monitoring student progress and progression Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writingInterviews to be held on 13th August

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
