Working as part of the Transformation and Change function within CAPTG – Europe Team; managing the Shaping and Delivery of strategic investments across the portfolio.
The Transformation and Change team work with all partners across the European team including C-Suite, Centres of Excellence (Procurement, HR, Finance, Legal, Audit/Compliance, Marketing, Sales, Customer Services, Strategy), MDs, Business Unit Leaders, Product, Engineering, Infra + Service and Info. Sec.
Role:
The Business Change Manager is a change and delivery position, playing a pivotal role in enabling tangible success to the business’s critical transformation objectives.
This is done by providing support, advice and leadership to all stakeholders across the business to help shape, deliver and embed key change initiatives. The team ambition is to be a driving force for empowering teams, realising efficiencies and improving operations.
Reporting to the Senior Business Change Manager, the Business Change Manager will have two core responsibility areas.
Firstly, the shaping and delivery of transformational change initiatives which support Cox Leadership in achieving their business objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, you will drive the initiative at pace through the change and delivery lifecycle, overcoming barriers, to realise the benefits and unlock value, through strong governance and risk management.
Secondly, helping senior business change managers and business leaders in identifying change and optimisation opportunities to be pursued. Through fostering strong business leadership relationships, and in-depth operational awareness, you will operate as a trusted business change partner.
This is a highly valued role which provides the opportunity to own the delivery of meaningful change and work closely with senior business leadership, to ensure transformation is not only implemented but embraced by the teams.
Responsibilities:
Driving Business Change
- Drive change initiatives and/or workstreams to support people, technology, product, and process change activities.
- Focus on the embedding of change, assessing the impact and driving the adoption of change across projects, teams and individuals.
- Engage and empower stakeholders, using change management and delivery frameworks to support throughout the change journey including definition, design, stakeholder alignment, change planning and implementation.
- Help drive a meaningful connection for team members, between the impact and purpose of their activities, to support lasting change.
- Help shape communications and engagement to ensure stakeholders are clear on their roles and feel informed at all times.
Consultant and Support Stakeholders
- Act as a trusted business change partner, in supporting the shaping of initiatives with clear workstreams and deliverables, focused on business value.
- Partner with key business and functional leaders to support the translation of change ambitions into a clear roadmap of activities.
- Develop positive relationships with various stakeholders to support change ambitions and form a network for change.
- Support key stakeholders through changes including Business Unit leadership, Functional leadership, Board/C Level executives as well as operational teams.
Shaping and Delivery
- Provide input and direction on delivery of change activities including recommended workstreams and phasing across Discovery and Delivery.
- Provide advice and leadership on mobilisation, set-up and key considerations around change initiatives.
- Responsible for the effective and successful delivery of change initiatives across the delivery lifecycle including key milestones, approach and prioritisation.
- Where required, work closely with operational teams and leadership to support root-cause analysis for operational challenges, to inform the change and delivery process.
- Develop metrics and key success factors to support benefit realisation.
- Provide strong governance and reporting to ensure transparency and confidence in delivery.
Continuous Improvement and Internal Focus
- Support continuous improvement activities for the business change team across areas such as capability building, proposition offering and delivery and change frameworks.
Experience:
- Experience of providing consultancy to senior business stakeholders (internal or external)
- Confidence in supporting senior stakeholders (board level) in the shaping of their priorities in line with strategic objectives
- Proven experience of shaping and managing business change initiatives – business process, operating model and organisational change
- Strong and demonstrable experience in, or knowledge of, driving change at pace through various types of methodology with core focus on planning, communications, analysis and reporting.
Skills:
- Be proactive, curious and a confident change partner with an instinct for problem solving and a continuous improvement mindset.
- An ability to combine change objectives into actionable plans and/or innovate solutioning.
- Facilitation of workshops in relation to shaping, change management, road-mapping, and planning.
- Confident in engagement and collaboration skills with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to different audiences.
- Engaging and confident with strong interpersonal and influencing skills to enable conveying the status of the change initiative to senior stakeholders.
- Strong skills in ppt, excel and project tools.
- Create compelling and impactful change communications to convey purpose and ensure objectives are easy to understand for team members and initiative sponsors
Desirable
- Bachelor degree or master degree in business, change, technology or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience of Business Transformation and delivering change
