Design Technology Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design and Technology teacher to join our client secondary school located in Scarborough.
As the successful candidate, you will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons and demonstrate a flair for teaching and learning. You will have high expectations for standards and achievement and be open to new and innovative ways of teaching.
This opportunity has arisen due to a gap in the school’s Design department, and we are looking for a talented individual to take on full teaching responsibilities and lead a full timetable. Additionally, you will be flexible, collaborative, and resilient, with a strong commitment to promoting positive behaviour management. This is a full-time position, teaching KS3 and KS4. You will work closely with other members of the department to ensure a cohesive and supportive working environment. We offer a competitive salary in line with the MPS/UPS scale, ranging from £30,000 to £46,525 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding lessons to students.
- Lead a full timetable and take on full planning and marking responsibilities.
- Show a flair for teaching and learning, and a passion for Design and Technology.

- Work closely with department members to promote positive behaviour management.
Requirements:
- UK qualified QTS
- Must be able to provide a DBS on the update service/willingness to apply for an enhanced DBS (child workforce only)
- Be able to provide references from your teacher training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
