We are currently seeking a Customer Services Supervisor to join our team based out of Worksop.

The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the customer service team and their output. The post holder will oversee the daily operations of a customer service team ensuring that they deliver an outstanding service to all customers whilst ensuring the department meets its performance targets and follows company policy and service standards.

Main responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor the customer service team.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure team members follow company policies and service standards.
  • Provide coaching to enhance performance and support career development.
  • Handle escalated or complex customer complaints and resolve issues.
  • Ensure that customer queries are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor customer interactions for quality assurance.
  • Prepare regular reports on team performance and customer feedback.
  • Liaise with other departments (e.g., Planning, Business Development, Driver Management & Drivers) to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Address and resolve operational issues affecting the customer service team.
  • Anticipate potential customer concerns and develop preventive measures.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5 GCSE qualifications covering both Maths and English equivalent to Grade C or 4 or above

Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in a customer services role
  • 2 years’ experience in a transport environment (desirable)
  • Strong IT skills – Outlook / Excel / Word / Power Point
  • Competent in the use of alternative / emerging technology to support the operation – i.e. mobile applications

  • Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and inspire a team, providing guidance and resolving conflicts.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in resolving issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Customer Focus: A strong understanding of customer needs and how to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships
