About the team
The Immigration team sits within the Specialist Tax function. We manage a range of business immigration services for multinational clients wishing to send their employees to work in the UK and overseas. We also provide immigration services to private clients and to employees of Forvis Mazars.
About the role
- We are seeking a full time Immigration Assistant with key Global visa co-ordination and management experience to join our busy immigration team, based in London. Your role will be to co-ordinate global immigration applications, queries and other related activities under the general direction of the Manager, in providing quality professional services to both Forvis Mazars employees and clients.
- The role will involve liaison with our global immigration network and managing consular applications on behalf of Forvis Mazars and its clients. The role also has an element of UK caseworking.
- Acting as main co-ordination point for internal and external global immigration applications
- Assistance with outbound short-term business visitor applications (especially for the Schengen area)
- Provide advice and guidance on immigration compliance and processes to internal stakeholders
- Liaise with overseas member firms regularly to support UK clients with outbound immigration
- Ensure client records are created and updated in our case management system
- Manage team activities to ensure compliance with Forvis Mazars risk management policies and procedures and manage engagement administration
- Management of engagement financials, cash collection and billing
- Provide reports in line with milestones and other KPI's
- Ensure timely invoice production for globally co-ordinated accounts
- Preparation and submission of immigration and visa applications for the UK
What are we looking for?
- Experience of global visa applications and co-ordination is essential
- Experience with UK inbound immigration
- Confidence communicating to clients at all levels on a regular basis
- Strong organisational skills with ability to plan, prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
- Excellent level of attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to carry out technical research independent and prepare and submit immigration applications for different jurisdictions
- Proactive, with the ability to plan and manage own workload
Learning and development
There will be an opportunity for you to study towards a professional accreditation if desired, which includes sponsorship for level 1 of the OISC Accreditation.
