As our Manufacturing Supervisor you will be a key part of our Lean transformation and help us to attain operational excellence. You will be responsible for leading our packaging team to deliver against People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost key metrics.
What to expect
Leading and developing your team of 15 people to understand the context, mechanics, and delivery of our key metrics in a sustainable way to meet customer and stakeholder commitments. Delivery of coaching, mentoring and guidance to enable your team to grow and develop talent. Ensure plan attainment and demonstrate execution of production activities to a high standard ensuring best in class. Identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Being actively involved in problem-solving using analytical skills and a ‘Go to the Gemba’ approach, with the discipline to make data-driven decisions. Holding team members accountable for embodying the Hologic values; using honesty when appraising and managing individuals' performance whilst supporting and coaching individuals to close performance gaps. Creating a positive and inclusive work environment, which enhances employee engagement and implementing strategies to promote staff growth and development.What we expect
A proven practitioner of lean systems, tools, continuous improvement methodologies, and industry best practices. Prior experience in a highly regulated industry: Medical Device, Pharma, FMCG, Biotech or similar Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and be a role model for your team Ability to challenge the status quo, having the courage to constructively challenge to improve the business. Resilience , the ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty, with the confidence to deal with issues and implement change Adaptability , able to respond to changing needs of the business with drive and determinationWe're a close-knit team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. If you thrive in a supportive and dynamic work environment, this is the job for you Based in Manchester, your shift patten will be 7.30am - 3.30pm.
