We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Facilities on a permanent basis.

The post holder will be responsible for managing and performance monitoring of Soft Facilities Management (via SLA's with neighbouring Trusts, PFI partners and private contractors) to ensure high quality services are being provided.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Facilities is responsible for the Site Facilities Engagement Managers who carry out a wide range of audits including waste, compliance and hygiene etc. across a range of sites to include inpatient, community, and corporate environments. They will also provide assurance that national and local standards are in place and maintained as well as ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

As part of this role the Head of Facilities will be based at Guild Park in Goosnargh, Preston however will be willing to travel around the vast geography of the organisation.

Qualifications

Essential

Master's Degree of equivalent extensive relevant experience. Professional qualification at graduate level. Evidence of continuing professional development

Knowledge

Essential

Proven knowledge and skills in business planning and quality process Specialist knowledge of Facilities and Estates Legislation and statutory, mandatory and best practice. Working knowledge of related control mechanisms and NHS Procedures, legislation and guidance.

Experience

Essential

Post qualification experience in strategic and operational facilities management. Experience of managing professional and technical staff. Experience in development of monitoring system policies and procedures.

Skills

Essential

Excellent communicator both verbal and written Able to demonstrate good negotiation and influencing skills Able to liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation.
