Job summary

Hazelwood Group Practice is looking for a new Administration Manager in the running of the admin office and to support the Practice Manager with general duties.

With a proven track record of managing an office and experience of General Practice you will be welcomed to a friendly and efficient team at Hazelwood Group Practice. We are a 4 partner, 10500 patient, training practice with lots of experienced staff to help and support you in your new role. Based in the rural community of Coleshill with lots of local amenities and close to all major motorways.

We are part of a 6 practice PCN with lots of supporting staff and initiatives ongoing.

Main duties of the job

Main duties will be to support the Practice Manager in the effective running of the practice and managing the admin office.

1. Job Role & Purpose

Underthe supervision of the PracticeManager, the primary purposeof the role is to lead,develop and manage the following services, to ensurethat we deliver excellentservices and care for our patients.

2.Key Duties & Responsibilities

To lead, support and manage key administrative servicesin the Practice.

To lead, support and managestaff actively to ensure compliance with objectives and deliver optimumperformance.

To be comfortable and confident in managing people.

To provide a performance environment in which our staff are challenged and can thrive.

To ensure that all administrative services are delivered competently to high standards and within agreedtimescales.

To encourage and developcollaborative relationships with all staff across the group for thebenefit of the patient.

To proactively utilise management information to identifygaps in servicedelivery process and customer service.

To meet defined servicetargets and delivercontinuous improvements in patient satisfaction.

To review and feedbackresults from patientsurvey and make recommendations for areas of improvement.

To create and presentreports to thePractcice Manager as required.

To manage all servicesand staff allocatedto the post holder.

To ensure the team is using efficient processand follow practiceprotocols.

Any other duties requiredin line with this Job Description, as advised by thePractice Manager.

6.Health & Safety

The post-holder will assist in promotingand maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined inthe practice health & safety policy, the health & safety manual, andthe practice infection control policy and published procedures. This willinclude:

Using personal security systemswithin the workplaceaccording to practiceguidelines.

Identifying the risks involvedin work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages thoserisks.

Making effective use of training to update knowledgeand skills.

Using appropriate infection controlprocedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe wayand free from hazards.

Active reporting of health and safety hazards and infection hazardsimmediately when recognised.

Keeping own work areasgenerally clean and assisting the Practice Manager in the maintenance ofgeneral standards of cleanliness consistent with the scope of their role.

Undertaking periodicinfection control training(minimum annually).
