This is an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer. The successful candidate will work on a hybrid contract from home and in the Bromley Civic Centre.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the suppliers of goods and service are paid and that any payment related enquiries are dealt with to meet the Service Level Agreement and Key Performance Indicators.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • To manage payment requests and invoices received from various sources and systems.
  • Processing client payment runs in line with Service Level targets.
  • To deliver first class Customer Service for queries received both internally and externally via email, phone and post.
  • To extract data from a variety of systems and reconcile in order to provide account balances upon request.
  • To perform a monthly bank reconciliation.
  • To provide administrative support to our Accounts Receivable team.
  • To assist with the reporting of monthly Key Performance Indicator results for clients.
  • To assist with the review of existing processes and support the implementation of process improvements.
  • Any other duties as required within the grade of the post.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with English and Maths of Grade C/Level 5 or above.
  • Experience of working in an Accounts Payable team would be an advantage.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Workday or Orchard MRI system experience would be an advantage.
  • Have a sound working knowledge of the Microsoft applications Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to a high degree of accuracy when dealing with a large volume of transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills to meet deadlines and demands.
  • A disciplined team player comfortable with hybrid working patterns.
