An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the East of England Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes (BLMK) and Suffolk & North East Essex (SNEE) System Coordination Teams as an Agenda for Change Band 5 Improvement and Delivery Support Officer. The successful candidate for this role will be highly organised, proactive and looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.
The System Coordination Teams are each aligned with an ICS in the East of England to ensure the development of sound working relationships and excellent knowledge of progress, challenges and risks.
This role is an essential and integral post within the regional Operations and System Support Directorate will be support portfolio areas such as Elective Care, Urgent and Emergency Care, Diagnostic and Cancer performance. There will be opportunity for the successful individual to become involved in project work aligned to the portfolio areas to ensure growth and personal development.
The successful candidate will be an individual who is resourceful, enthusiastic, possesses the ability to communicate effectively, is able to prioritise their own workload, has excellent time management skills and can handle information confidentially.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a key member of the team and key aspects of the role are as follows:
To work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting managers and staff and working alongside Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and Providers as part of a system, assuring performance and delivery. Act as a contact point for teams, dealing with and responding effectively to complex queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members sensitively and autonomously. Organise and manage documentation for meetings and events, including preparation of agendas and minutes of meetings, tracking actions and timeframes as appropriate. Ensure the team have been briefed and have the required documentation for all meetings/events. Provide effective diary management for the team, ensuring that appointments are planned and coordinated, and run to schedule. Use independent judgement to prioritise the high level completing demands to ensure an appropriate balance in the daily scheduling in line with preferences and responsibilities. Organise and plan meetings and events as directed, including sending invitations, booking venues, making travel arrangements, providing relevant papers and material. Provide high quality support to ensure they are managed and delivered effectively.
