WHAT TO EXPECT

You will work at multiple phases of the development lifecycle in a Lead Engineer capacity from Attribute definition through to Production Validation. This operating environment is dynamic and role requires working closely with various stakeholders across the business including feature owners, other system owners, component and circuit engineering teams to ensure the solutions engineered are feasible, robust and secure and delivered in accordance to Agile working methodology to regularly deliver value on time, on cost and on quality

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Accountable for vehicle security system covering use cases and system design, sub system design and testing in line with feature and attribute requirements

Responsible for capturing requirements and working to JLR system design best practices to produce robust system solutions

Responsible for capturing programme and cycle plan timing to plan own work and identify and resolve dependencies to enable work to be completed to support new model launch according to Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles and processes.

Support rig and testing team with test case creation and execution

Essential:

Proven technical knowledge and experience of Automotive Systems Engineering for complex electro-mechanical systems

Experience of developing technical requirements and system design artifacts

Experience of working with automotive electronics and electrical architectures and knowledge of communication bus types such as CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet.

Experience of working with electrical test and validation tools

Experience of planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of requirements to support the Cycle Plan programmes using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles
