We are seeking a Sports Partnerships Marketing Manager to manage our O2 partnerships with England Rugby – both the men's team and the Red Roses – as well as up-and-coming boxer Shannon Ryan. The successful candidate will be joining at a thrilling time, with a home women's rugby world cup on the horizon next year and forthcoming British and Commonwealth title fights for Shannon. This role will be crucial in developing our campaigns over the coming year and further into the future.
The Role
You will be empowered to lead the day-to-day for our sports partners, ensuring we maximise our associations with them, and contractual rights, to deliver brand awareness and consideration for VMO2.
You must have experience in using sport sponsorships to build brand campaigns that drive national fame across the full marketing spectrum including owned, earned, paid, shared and partner channels.
You will be an integral part of the wider team within the VMO2 business, bringing together teams from marketing, PR, social, events, data and insight, and internal comms to maximise ROI for our partnerships. The ability to cultivate brilliant working relationships both internally and externally is a must.
As part of your role, you will also support the Head of Sport Partnerships & Sponsorship to create our annual sports strategy and plan as well as manage agency partners.
You will use our partnerships to support VMO2’s ambition to create connections so everyone can get more from life, whether that’s unforgettable experiences for customers via our Priority platform or bringing sports fans closer to their heroes through unique content.
