Seeking a mid-level C++ Developer to work with a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced camera robotics and game-changing virtual production technologies for film, TV, and live broadcast. You will be joining a small, supportive, Agile team, where we support hybrid working arrangements.

We are constantly building new features and innovating, specifically utilising Unreal Engine/Unity. Your creations will be used directly on-set and productions of popular films and TV series We’re looking for someone whose software development expertise translates into highly functional and user-friendly applications. We’re searching for individuals who want to make a genuine difference and deliver boundary-pushing technology projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable C++ code
  • Use game engines such as Unreal, Unity and Omniverse
  • Collaborate with software development team on application design and development
  • Work on extensions of existing products, suggesting and implementing improvements
  • Collaboration, design and development of new products
  • Perform diagnostic tests and debug procedures
  • Plan, design, develop, manage, document, test, deploy, and support new and existing modules
  • Document processes and maintain software development record
  • Keep up to date with C++ standards and advancements in application development

Requirements

  • Higher Degree in computer science, information systems, or similar preferred
  • Practical work experience as C++ software developer, minimum four years
  • Experience deploying software across a variety of platforms and operating systems
  • Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, and XML preferred
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Great organisational and time management skills

Interview Process

Our interviews are quite informal and conversational, generally carried out over a 3-stage process. To help us learn more about your workplace behaviours and preferences, you will also be invited to complete a short Predictive Index (PI) Behavioural and Cognitive Assessment. Depending on the position, you may also be requested to undertake a technical assessment. The final stage normally involves a visit at the office to meet with senior members of the management team and get a feel for where you will be working.
