Job summary

Due to movement and growth within the team, we arelooking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as Headof Therapies. This person will have the skills and motivation to support ourgrowing team and facilitate effective communication for all.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will deliver Speech and LanguageTherapy services either in Blackpool, Bolton, Halton (Widnes and Runcorn) orLiverpool and will work in a hybrid way, travelling to all these areas to undertake their head of therapies role.

Clinically, the Speechand Language Therapist with have a broad range of experience and may have aclinical specialism. They will also have experience of supervising and linemanaging others. The successful candidate will support our growing team and shapethe innovative services delivered by our organisation as a whole.

Job responsibilities

There is expected to be a 50:50 split between clinicaldelivery and the Head of Therapies remit.

The clinical work will be somewhat dependant on thelocation:

Blackpool = Mainstream school and/or SEN / ASD assessments Bolton and Liverpool = SEN in a Special school Halton = Mainstream school and/or SENin Special schools and Resource Bases

As the Head ofTherapies, the successful candidate will line manage Lead SLTs; promote acoaching culture; contribute to strategic planning; and lead on clinical qualitystandards.
