The Community & EventFundraiser will play a key role in building the charitys profile in thegeographical region both internally to staff and patients and externally tomembers of the public. Working as part of a team they will help secure a range ofincome streams to ensure the long-term sustainability of EyUp The postholderwill identify and deliver fundraising activities and a calendar of events inline with the Charitys budgets and strategy.

Main duties of the job

Developing long term relationships with avariety of internal and external stakeholders, including staff, communitygroups, businesses, and members of the public with the aim of securingfinancial and in kind support

-Deliver presentations to local organisations toraise the profile of the charity

-Steward and support community fundraisers tohelp maximise their fundraising efforts

-Deliver an annual calendar of events andactivities to help generation income and raise the profile of the charity

-Regular travel across our catchment area willbe required to meet supporters and deliver events

-Provide accurate reports on fundraisingperformance including income and expenditure

-Support the Fundraising manager and Head ofFinancial accounting to receive, log allocate and acknowledge donations

-Work flexibly and occasional unsocial hoursincluding evenings and weekends

EyUp Charity is one of more than 280 NHSCharities in the UK, which between them hold assets of £ and raise over£330m per annum used to enhance and support patient care and provide grants forprojects that are over and above those served through government funding.

The post holder will require knowledge and experienceof fundraising including current legislation. Working with the FundraisingManager and Operational Group to support the Charitys strategic plans, theywill help secure a range of income streams to ensure the long-termsustainability of EyUp The post holder will identify and deliverfundraising activities and a calendar of events, ensuring costs and resourcesare appropriately allocated according to the charity strategy

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

RSA/OCR III Word Processing or equivalent ILM. Degree level qualification in Business/Event management or similar or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.

Desirable

Fundraising Diploma and/or Institute of Fundraising Certificate in Fundraising (or equivalent experience/qualification).

Demonstrable experience and competence of working in a charity setting. Experience of working with and supporting a variety of stakeholders at different levels. Practical experience in providing advice and support to internal/external supporters on fundraising in accordance with the Fundraising Code of Practice. Ability to provide a proactive and high-quality customer focused service. Experience using and maintaining CRM systems and reporting. Experience of working in partnership with other organisations. Experience of organising events.

Desirable

Experience of working in a public sector organisation. Experience of working in an NHS Charity. Experience of producing reports and papers for a varied audience. Experience of working within a community fundraising or similar role. Confident public speaker with the ability to deliver presentations and pitch for support articulating information in a persuasive manner.
