About the team
We are recruiting for Senior Manager in our Statutory Accounting Team here at Worldpay. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the success of our organization.
What you will be doing
This role is primarily responsible for delivering statutory reporting and audit for both regulated and non-regulated legal entities. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a multinational company, with a strong background in preparing statutory financial statements and reporting. You will lead and manage audits from planning the strategy and working with external auditors to meet KPMG and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations for regulated and non-regulated legal entities within the multinational company.
- Coordinate and manage the statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion and resolution of audit issues.
- Maintain a deep understanding of applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, legal, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment on financial reporting matters and support business initiatives.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations and assess the potential impact on financial reporting processes and controls.
- Support the development of internal controls and procedures.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and other relevant parties, to address inquiries and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by senior management, providing financial expertise and insights to drive decision-making.
What you bring:
- ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a focus on statutory accounting within a multinational company.
- Experience in delivering full financial statements from trial balances
- Experience in multi-currency consolidated groups
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS or US GAAP, and experience applying them to complex transactions.
- Proven experience supporting statutory audits and engaging with external auditors to resolve audit issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Motivated self-starter who will take ownership of tasks rather than always rely on others
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
