Job Title: Nursery Teaching AssistantLocation:

This is a temporary position with the expectation of working full-time hours.

£12.85 - £14.00 per hour.

Job Duties:
  • Supporting the nursery teacher in planning and delivering educational activities for children.
  • Assisting with the daily care and supervision of children.
  • Creating a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
  • Helping with meal times, nappy changing, and maintaining cleanliness within the nursery.
  • Engaging with children through play, arts, and crafts activities.
Required Qualifications:

A relevant childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths.

Experience:

Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of child development and learning processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with young children.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional childcare qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working with young children in a nursery environment, which may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of children or equipment. The working hours are full-time, typically during nursery opening hours.
