About The Role

Job Summary:

Lough Erne Resort is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating exquisite pastry and dessert offerings that complement our dining experiences and delight our guests. The ideal candidate should possess creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of pastry techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pastry Preparation: Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods with precision and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and consistent results.

2. Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef and culinary team to develop innovative and seasonally inspired pastry menus that meet the resort's high standards.

3. Production Management: Manage the daily production of pastries, including planning, organising, and supervising pastry production for various outlets, including restaurants, banquets, and special events.

4. Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards to ensure the freshness, taste, and presentation of all pastry items.

5. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage pastry inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations while minimising waste.

6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate dessert plating and presentation in alignment with overall menu offerings.

7. Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized pastry kitchen.

8. Training: Train and mentor pastry team members, sharing knowledge and techniques to enhance their skills.

9. Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles into pastry offerings.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a high-end culinary establishment.

- Culinary degree or formal pastry training is preferred.

- Creative flair and a passion for pastry arts.

- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavour combinations.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
