GENERAL SUMMARY
The Vice President, Global Sales Leisure– Europe is responsible for strategizing, conceiving, developing and implementing innovative and effective sales and marketing strategies, tools and actions aimed at maximizing revenue generation for Preferred Travel Group (PTG), including Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Beyond Green partner hotels, assisting in hotel brand development and hotel consulting as needed. This role proactively develops new and maintains existing leisure, wholesale and luxury leisure consortia accounts throughout the European region, overseeing leisure sales activities, including roadshows and events, and collaborates with the European team to increase the sales activities to grow the leisure sales market. To work closely with the Global Sales Vice Presidents, Global Area Managing and Regional Directors. Develop sales team members on their business skills and strategy for optimum performance to achieve company goals and targets.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Under the general supervision of the Senior Vice President, Global Leisure Sales the Vice President, Global Leisure Sales – Europe will work with leisure travel agencies, luxury organizations, PH&R sales team and hotels with on-going sales efforts, maintain strong relationships with key travel luxury groups, intermediaries and continually seek opportunities to expand distribution of Preferred Hotels & Resorts products and services in the targeted markets to increase visibility and market share. Will collaborate closely with global Executive Vice Presidents, Regional Directors and Revenue Directors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The VP, Leisure Sales-Europe is responsible to:
· Generate room revenues for properties and transaction income for PHR through leisure accounts within the designated region.
· Maintain account management of key brand luxury organization relationships in Europe such as American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Serandipians, Virtuoso and work with European Sales Team to manage and grow affiliated agencies in their region
· Promote awareness and increase revenue opportunities within the designated Preferred Hotels & Resorts brand initiatives for leisure programs
· Find and develop relationships across the Europe region with new Leisure Accounts and have excellent knowledge and strong relationships with existing Leisure Agencies, with a specific focus on high end leisure accounts
· Grow branded programs Preferred Platinum, Preferred Pride, Twenty and Leisure Direct within UK and Europe
· Assist the sales team with developing regional action plans for managed and prospect accounts for market penetration
· Assist with overseeing the maintenance details and timely records of account information within the CRM, Outlook and Sales PreferredNet member portal database systems
· Conduct and manage profitable Roadshow and Client Events in UK aligned with Preferred Hotels & Resorts Events Calendar and profitability guidelines
· Manage European PHR Wholesaler, Tour Operator accounts working with Twenty and Leisure Direct. Develop strategies for new and increased business
· Represent PTG at major tradeshows, showcases, conferences and road shows where required
· Collaborate with EMEA Regional Directors and Revenue Directors for ongoing support of partner hotels and business development needs.
· Report on sales activities in format and frequency as required by the SVP, Global Leisure Sales
· Travel as appropriate to support the overall expectations of the position
· This role requires working closely with all members of the Global Sales Team
· The role requires 30-50% travel
QUALIFICATIONS
Worker characteristics are normally acquired through the completion of a university degree program in business and/or hotel management or related hospitality experience; minimum of 8 years of hotel sales experience (minimum of four years leisure market experience in the UK and at least two years within European leisure market achieved from latest job role); excellent presentation skills; energy and the ability to conduct and act on thorough industry and company research; basic knowledge of international travel; geography and cultures; ability to build a resourceful network; creativity; ability to gain trust and respect in a consultative role; strong relationship building skills.
WORKING CONDITION
Working environment is in a prestigious location and is beautifully as well as functionally decorated including all required technology tools. Travel 50-60% of time as appropriate to support overall expectation of the position. The position is expected to work in the London office 2-3 days a week.
