Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join one of our great Nursery schools in Putney
As an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children aged 0 to 5 years. This position requires a deep understanding of the EYFS/nursery framework, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for providing a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that align with the EYFS framework, fostering the holistic development of each child.
- Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children.
- Design and set up engaging learning centres, ensuring a wide range of resources and materials are available to enhance child-led play and exploration.
- Assess and monitor each child's progress, keeping accurate records and providing regular feedback to parents/guardians on their child's development and achievements.
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians, involving them in their child's learning journey through effective communication and regular updates.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies that encourage positive behaviour and promote a respectful and inclusive classroom community.
- Collaborate with other EYFS teachers and school staff to plan and implement a comprehensive and cohesive curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs and abilities of each child, providing appropriate support and challenges.
- Organize and participate in various EYFS activities, such as field trips, celebrations, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Stay updated with current educational trends and attend professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience as an EYFS/Nursery Teacher, preferably in a similar temporary capacity.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its implementation.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Creativity and the ability to design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a temporary assignment through a recruitment agency.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in EYFS teaching practices.
- Successful completion of background checks and any other necessary screening required by the recruitment agency and the school.
Note: This is a temporary position through a recruitment agency, and the duration of the assignment may vary depending on the needs of the school.
