Main duties of the job
To undertake a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Building Maintenance duties of a semi-skilled nature, both repair and pre-planned. To be able to work as part of a team and act autonomously with minimum supervision guided by department's standard operating procedures and advice notes.

Job description
Job responsibilities
Use of range of equipment and hand tools appropriate to the duties of the post. Maintain all plant-rooms, workshops, and the site as a whole in a clean and tidy manner. Assist in cleaning of grilles Air Handling Unit ducts including in confined spaces. Cleaning of vents and radiators. Replacement of lamps and LED panels around the site. Portable appliance testing, and maintaining up to date log. Assist in unblocking drains. Complete minor plumbing works alone such as replacing tap cartridges. Experience and Knowledge
Essential
A proven background within Maintenance or similar industries Experience / knowledge in the use of hand tools Experience / knowledge of electrical/ mechanical and building maintenance. Experience of using computer programmes. Understanding of COSHH regulations
Desirable
Previous experience in working within the Healthcare environment. Experience of driving Transit Van sized vehicle towing a trailer. Understanding of Asbestos regulations
