Job description

The University of South Wales has an exciting opportunity for a Registry Assistant to join Academic Registry to support the operational activity in a dynamic and busy department. Academic Registry is one of the University’s professional service departments, delivering a range of key administration and information services for students throughout their studies, from enrolment to graduation. We also oversee the University's arrangements for academic quality assurance and enhancement, along with providing casework services for students. The role will be based within the Quality and Academic Services (QAS) - Assessment Team of Academic Registry.

Assessment Team: You will work across all areas of the team to support the delivery of team operations which include:

ExaminationsAssessment administration processes and services (including issuing results) Graduation ceremonies Certificate and transcript production and distributionPast student services

along with the associated systems, related web support, and information. The role involves working with colleagues to ensure successful delivery of services to students, faculties, and partners.

About you: You will be a great communicator, a motivated team player, with experience of working in the delivery of administration services, with a willingness to learn. You will have a good level of organisational skills, able to work flexibly to prioritise work to meet key deadlines. You will be proficient in the use of IT and able to write succinct and accurate summaries of discussions.

Location of work: The University is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. The role will be based primarily at the University of South Wales’ Pontypridd campus, although you will be required to work at any of the three USW campuses (Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd), as well as homeworking. Typically, we will expect you to be on campus more than at home. A flexible approach to working hours may be necessary to support the delivery of our services, with some work occasionally taking place outside normal office hours.
