The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly experienced Executive Producer, overseeing the podcast's entire production process. You will have a proven track record both on the tools and leading teams with a deep understanding of creating and promoting content, specifically with expertise in creating content for leveraging platforms like YouTube & Social as a primary distribution  platform. The ideal candidate will have an industry leading and comprehensive background in video production, including hands-on experience with cameras, microphones, audio and editing software, to deliver high-quality podcast productions. You will have a proven track record of developing, launching, and managing successful video first shows. This role requires a blend of creative vision, data-driven obsession, strategic thinking, and operational expertise to produce the exceptionally engaging content that resonates with global audiences across multi-channel distribution with a video first lens in all outputs.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Production Leadership: Oversee the teams end to end production of podcast episodes, from planning and recording to editing and publishing, ensuring high-quality video and audio output. Your work and teams will be instrumental in creating the world's leading podcast brands. 
  • Technical Expertise: Oversee and lead all technical aspects of the podcast production, including camera operation, sound recording, lighting, and post-production editing.
  • Data & Performance Analysis: Lead the analysis of performance data across platforms to understand audience behaviour and preferences. Use insights to inform content creation, optimise promotion strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross Team Collaboration: Work directly with hosts, guests, your team and other cross functional teams to create compelling and engaging world class content strategies that unite under a single podcast brand vision
  • Operational Leadership & Budget Management. Lead the scheduling and coordination of recordings and post production efforts to ensure a smooth production process that is of the highest of standards, on time and on budget
  • Innovation: Stay engaged with industry trends and emerging platforms, continuously seeking innovative ways to present and distribute podcast content to engage with new and existing audiences.
  • Creative Direction: Provide leadership for the teams and the hosts in the creative direction for episodes, trailers and clips, including theme development, guest selection, and narrative structure, ensuring content aligns with audience interests, optimising for audience engagement and growth and the podcasts brand values.
  • Innovative Production Processes: Obsess over optimisations and implementations that refine and redefine production processes to consistently improve workflows and create owned products.
  • Team Management and Development: Build, lead, and mentor a team of producers, fostering a culture of creativity, continuous improvement, innovation, exceptional quality and experimentation.

Requirements

Must Haves 

  • Extensive experience in video or social first production and editing, with an exceptional portfolio in successful content creation. 
  • Ability to develop and implement content strategies for high profile talent that align with and deliver our company goals and vision
  • Resilient, motivated and empathetic leadership skills with proven experience in managing and developing production teams. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to convey complex ideas at all levels. Able to share quality information at high speeds
  • flexibility to adapt to and experiment with the evolving landscape of media production, with a willingness to embrace new technologies and platforms. Ability to work in high intensity work cycles
  • You know what it takes using tools, technology and experience to navigate, and hit every deadline across multiple competing projects and still deliver exceptional results.

  •  Your commitment to quality and the highest of standards is renowned in the industry, the teams you managed and the work you have delivered. 
  • With experience using analytics tools (e.g. YouTube Analytics) to inform production and audience growth strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, which can regularly require working outside of Monday-Friday 
  • Budget Management skills

  • An understanding of platform algorithms and back end analytics
  • A keen interest in AI & examples of how it has or will create optimal production outcomes
