About the role

We are currently looking for Senior Technician, to join our busy team, who can bring their knowledge and skills to help support our Leakage and Flushing team within Essex.

The successful candidate will help support the technical management of a team of Leakage and Network technicians working across our area of supply. You’ll use your technical skills and knowledge to support the performance of our team, helping resolve issues on our water network and actively search for leaks. You’ll be required to support with the coaching of the team to help them solve problems and lead by example in areas such as Behaviours, Health and Safety, Network Issues and Customer Service.

This role may require the successful candidate to participate in an out of hour’s standby rota so it is essential that you are willing to take part in this.

A full valid driving licence is also essential.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.

Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.

Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked

Please note this role may require a DBS to be completed prior to employment

About you

You’ll have excellent knowledge of the water network and/or leakage detection methods and will be looking for a new role to apply, extend and develop that knowledge.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate at all levels as coaching and helping to develop a team of field based technicians will be an important part of this role.

You’ll have proven experience working with customers face to face as dealing with members of the public is also a large part of this role ensuring that 1st class customer service is delivered at all times.
