Contract: Term-time only

About the role:
As a Child Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs. You will assist with classroom activities, encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive environment where students can thrive.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to children, helping them engage in learning activities.
  • Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans based on each child’s specific needs.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Monitor the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support students in developing social and emotional skills, fostering their independence and confidence.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be experienced working with children in a school or care setting.
  • Possess strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals.
  • Be a patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting children's development.
  • Have the ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and calmly.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Commit to promoting inclusion and helping students reach their full potential.

What Do We Want From You: To thrive in these roles, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
