Job Title: MultiSkilledBuilding Services Engineer (Building FabricBias)

PositionOverview: We are looking for a versatile and skilledMultiSkilled Building Services Engineer with a strong focus onbuilding fabric to join our team. The ideal candidate will possessexpertise in various building services disciplines with aparticular bias towards building fabric maintenance and repair.This role requires the ability to perform a wide range of technicaltasks related to building fabric as well as a working knowledge ofother building services systems. The successful candidate will beresponsible for ensuring the integrity functionality and aestheticappeal of the building fabric components within ourfacilities.

KeyResponsibilities:

  1. Building FabricMaintenance:
  • Conductregular inspections of building fabric components including wallsceilings floors roofs doors and windows to identify defects damageor deterioration.
  • Perform routine maintenancetasks such as painting plastering sealing and caulking to preserveand enhance the appearance and structural integrity of buildingfabric elements.
  • Repair or replace damaged orworn building fabric materials fixtures and fittings to maintain asafe secure and comfortable environment for occupants.
TechnicalExpertise:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of building fabricmaintenance and repair techniques including carpentry masonryglazing and general construction.
  • Utilize handand power tools effectively to perform tasks such as drillingcutting sanding and shaping building materials.
  • Apply knowledge of building regulations standards andbest practices to ensure compliance and quality in all buildingfabric works.
CrossDisciplinaryCollaboration:
  • Workclosely with other building services engineers and technicians tocoordinate maintenance activities and address issues that mayimpact multiple systems or disciplines.
  • Provide support and assistance to colleagues working onmechanical electrical and plumbing systems as needed to facilitateefficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders includingfacility managers tenants and contractors to coordinate workschedules prioritize tasks and ensure customersatisfaction.
Healthand Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures atall times including the proper use of personal protective equipment(PPE) and safe working practices.
  • Identify andmitigate potential hazards associated with building fabricmaintenance activities such as working at heights handlinghazardous materials or working in confined spaces.
  • Report any health and safety concerns or incidentspromptly to the appropriate personnel and participate ininvestigations and corrective actions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant trade qualification in carpentry masonry orgeneral construction.
  • Previous experience inbuilding fabric maintenance and repair preferably in a facilitiesmanagement or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a range of building fabricdisciplines with the ability to work independently and as part of ateam.
  • Strong problemsolving skills andattention to detail with the ability to diagnose issues andimplement effective solutions.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interactprofessionally with colleagues and stakeholders at alllevels.
  • Full clean driverslicense.
