Foundation Personnel Limited are currently recruiting for a setting out Engineer in West Midlands. In this role you will  manage multiple work areas, ensuring precise setting out and surveying, and maintaining strict adherence to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Work Areas: Oversee 3-4 work areas within a 5km stretch.

Reporting: Communicate issues to senior staff.

Setting Out: Use Trimble equipment for precise setting out of precast concrete.

GPS Management: Upload GPS files to excavators and verify accuracy.

Surveying: Conduct as-built and ongoing surveys, process data into CAD files and PDFs.

Volumetric Calculations: Perform earthwork calculations.

Compliance: Ensure works follow specifications, drawings, and ITPs.

Client Liaison: Coordinate with client engineers for information and permits.

ITP Inspections: Conduct ITP inspections and sign-offs using Dalux (training provided).

Safety and RAMS: Follow RAMS and Health & Safety procedures.

Task Briefings: Produce Task Briefings from RAMS.

Primary Focus:

Main duties include setting out, surveying, ITP sign-offs, and producing Task Briefings. The ITP sign-off process is extensive but starts with no outstanding tasks.

Team Structure:

You will work alongside another Section Engineer and a junior Site Engineer, dividing work areas for efficient management. Cooperation between engineers is expected.

Equipment Provided:

Trimble setting out equipment (R12i with TSC5 and S7 with TSC5)

CAD software (Trimble Business Centre)

Site vehicle with fuel included, available for commuting.

 

A Safety Critical is essential.

Candidates must be able to provide two references.
