About the Role:

GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching assistant to undertake a position at our schools in Southampton. Your role will involve providing personalised assistance, promoting a love for learning, and contributing to the overall academic development of 1-1 and small group students in diverse subjects. 1:1Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Assisting students in defining and reaching their academic objectives.
  • Working in tandem with educators to devise and execute customised educational strategies.
  • Aiding students in managing day-to-day responsibilities and tasks.
  • Offering emotional reinforcement and motivation.
  • Tracking student advancement and communicating updates to instructors.
  • Delivering support within standard classroom environments.
  • Collaborating with teachers on lesson structuring and readiness.
  • Guiding students through classroom and homework assignments.

1:1Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Must hold a relevant qualification in teaching or education.
  • Previous experience working within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.

To work with GSL Education as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you should: 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
