This exciting dietetic post will be supporting the dietetic and medicine services at St Mary's Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and dynamic Band 6 Dietitian to advance the dietetic service through timely, appropriate and efficient nutritional intervention. 

This full time, permanent post would enable you to develop your specialist knowledge, service development and project management skills alongside nutrition support and team working. Our department is full of opportunity for dietitians who are looking to expand their skills and get involved in quality improvement.

You will be responsible for the supporting and delivery of a high quality, evidence-based clinical service. We are a large, high profile, friendly department involved in undergraduate and post graduate medical training. We also facilitate placements for dietetic students and are involved in teaching other health professionals such as nursing and therapy colleagues. The department is forward thinking and our service delivery is very much influenced by the audits and research projects we carry out which are supported by excellent IT facilities and Quality Improvement initiatives. The department also supports robust CPD and in house training opportunities for all staff members.

Main duties of the job

To provide a specialist dietetic service to a designated service (Renal, Neurosciences, Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Oncology/Head and Neck Cancer, Haem/onc, Stroke, Cardiothoracic and Respiratory rotations) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, in liaison with the Clinical Lead Dietitian. This post covers both in and outpatient work; the individual must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the management of patients in the specialist area
