DescriptionThis newly created role for a qualified accountant (or QBE) to join the financial accounts team. The financial accounts team prepare management accounts, add insight into the performance of residential homes and reconcile all balance sheet items. Alongside this, they offer support to the residential homes on monthly cost budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing monthly P&L accounts on a home-by-home basis.
  • Investigating and analysing variances.
  • Finance for “non finance” people- helping the home managers understand the key drivers in their accounts.
  • Management of operational expenditure system Moss.
  • Provide support and resolve queries from staff in our residential homes.
  • Production of Weekly and Monthly KPIs.
  • Various ad-hoc reports.
  • Quarterly VAT returns with partial exemption calculations required.
  • Provide support to Financial Accountants and other members of finance team as required.
  • Involvement in budget processing.
  • Involvement in annual year end audit.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with confidence to work independently.
  • Desire to enhance finance function and wider business.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Essential: Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Sage 200 experience desirable.
