Tarmac are recruiting for an experienced new colleague to work as our Minimix Manager for our Readymix ‘RMX’ business to join our friendly Midlands team where you will be based from ‘The Hub’ in Mountsorrel, Quorn, near to Loughborough in Leicestershire. This role is commutable from such locations as Loughborough, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Barrow upon Soar, Syston, Shepshed, Coalville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ibstock, Swadlincote, Measham, Tamworth, Atherstone, Hinkley, Nottingham, Derby, Long Eaton, Kegworth, Burton upon Trent and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

You as the Minimix Manager will work cross-functionally managing our Midlands Minimix®, Didimix® and Newark Concrete, this will primarily be the day-to-day sales, management and communications with customers to provide the ‘face’ of Tarmac. You will work strategically to develop short - medium - and long-term performance plans for the business. You will keep abreast of the wider regional and external business markets, adapting the Minimix strategy to meet the demands of an ever developing market.

Your role as the Minimix Manager will include (not exhaustive):

Be the primary link between Tarmac and its customer accounts, providing clear and principled direction to enhance the customer experience Strategically manage a portfolio of Minimix customers to deliver against targeted sales volumes, price and profitability targets Identify opportunities to maximise our cash position through efficient and effective trading Provide the business and associated departments with external market intel around product demand and mix interest to support the continual evolution of our strategy approach Main point of contact for customer complaints and ensure these are resolved in a timely manner and maintaining customer relationships Support the senior management team in improving invoicing performance Work closely and collaboratively with business units and provide service solutions which meet and exceed customer specifications Provide the General Manager with monthly key metrics and performance rating reports, Embed and demonstrate the Tarmac values in all activities Manage the input of accurate customer data into the CRM system As part of a wider; varied team, work and deliver in-demand products, and as a result to deliver profit to the business Building relationships with the key stakeholders – maintaining regular contact to Introduce new products and technologies to our customers

Key Stakeholders you will liaise within the responsibilities of this role:

External - Customers - Hauliers (ICH) - Partner Contractor's - Industry bodies Internal - Customer service teams - RMX and National Commercial Teams - RMX management team - Finance team

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in the role of a  Minimix Manager the following is what we are looking for in a future colleague:

Demonstration of managing and developing customer accounts Working cross-functionally to deliver customer requirements Demonstrable experience of utilising commercial tools and forecasts Influencing skills, negotiation skills, change management skills An excellent understanding of regional market and a strong understanding of competitive landscape Able to identify customer needs and build solutions & comprehensive product knowledge Emotional resilience, self-awareness and empathy Confident in the use of IT systems The willingness to travel between Tarmac offices, this will be required in the role

Experience of Readymix RMX would prove extremely beneficial; although not essential.
