Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, maintaining equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring production efficiency.
  • Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements, implementing solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment history.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure seamless operations and support factory goals.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry.
  • Experience of FMCG operations
  • PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
  • Flexibility.
  • Health and Safety driven.
  • Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments.
  • To mentor apprentices


Additional Information

Shift Pattern:    

  • 12 hour shifts. 4 on / 4 off shift patterns
  • 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am  

Salary:    

  • £34,680 per annum
