JOB TITLE: Concession Manager
BASE: Air Ambulance sample shop, George House, Magna Park
HOURS: 5 hours per week, to cover shop sale times and restocking.
SALARY: £10.90 per hour
CLOSING DATE : 30th October 2023
In this role you will be employed by the Air Ambulance Service, but will work under the rules of Asda Head Office.
Job Purpose
You will be responsible for managing the concession, ensuring all sales targets are achieved, and adhering to concession and The Air Ambulance Service policies and procedures. Responsible for guiding and managing a group of individuals, both employees and volunteers to achieve specific goals and objectives. You will provide direction, support, and motivation to the team members, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure effective communication within the team. Proactively support and encourage both personal and professional development of your team. You will also manage stock levels, and ensure the storeroom is maintained and the shop floor is fully stocked.
The manager will need to present and maintain high standards of shop merchandising and visual layout, complete all shop administration inclusive of cash handling, and adhere to all aspects of health and safety
Key Responsibilities
•Ensure all shop sales targets are achieved in line with projected sales as given by Concession and The Air Ambulance Service.
•Adhere to Concession Set Price list for all items sold.
•Be an ambassador of The Air Ambulance Service and provide information to the Concession team as and when required.
•Adhere to Concession Head Office policies and Procedures.
•Ensure the storeroom is maintained and shop floor is fully stocked ready for each sale.
•Present and maintain high standards of shop merchandising and visual layout at all times.
•Complete all shop administration inclusive of cash handling, accurately and to deadline, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
•Adhere to all aspects of health and safety complying with legal regulations to provide a safe working environment for staff.
•Plan and organizes daily workload, encouraging effective communication, setting objectives, and fostering a positive team spirit with colleagues.
•Provide cover for other shops as required by the Area Manager, in the case of management absences planned or emergency within reason.
•Assist the Area Manager in any tasks and responsibilities within the spirit of the position.
•Undertake any duties that may reasonably be requested by the line manager or Director or Senior Manager.

Person Specification
•Demonstrable evidence of behaviour in line with the core values of TAAS throughout career to date.
•Able to demonstrate effective people management experience
•Collaborative approach to achieving departmental and wider organisational objectives

•Knowledge of business management skills.
•Commercial awareness.
•Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation.

•Visual merchandising skills, having an eye for detail.
•Ability to plan and prioritize workloads for themselves and the shop team.
•Excellent verbal and written communication and working knowledge of email and Microsoft Office.
•The ability to use mathematics in analysing sales reports and data.
•Ability to travel to other sites and locations as advised.
•Willingness to contribute to own professional/personal development and that of the trading company.
•Ability to work autonomously and to use your own initiative.
