The Director of Finance will play a pivotal role, both strategically and operationally, in defining the strategic direction of Bvlgari Hotel London and driving the company’s continued growth and development.
You will lead and be responsible for Bvlgari Hotel London’s financial activities and lead the strategic work linked to the company’s business model and financial management. This is to ensure targets are constantly over-achieved and to maximise long term value creation. This includes strategic responsibilities like business optimization, long term planning and overall financial analyses to optimise business and financial results, combined with leading the finance and purchasing team.
This role would require a unique combination of skills. You should be able to act at a very high level of strategic decision making, while also remaining extremely hands-on, and focusing on the details of the day-to-day operation of an ultra-luxury Hotel.
Key skills and experience to be evidenced within your application included:
- Professional accounting qualification: ACCA, ACA or CIMA
- Proven extensive experience in a relevant role and relevant experience in leading finance teams
- Strong problem solving and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- Extremely knowledgeable and experience leading in all elements of financial planning, forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain long standing business and intercompany relationships
- Superior quantitative, analytic and financial modelling skills
The Director of Finance is pivotal to the success of the Hotel. Responsible for a large team this position demands a person who combines strong leadership with in-depth financial knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have the following key experience:
- Operating in a senior finance role within ideally within luxury hospitality
- Building and leading a robust finance team
- Managing capital allocation, setting KPIs across all functions, and leading the business review meetings
- Creating operational excellence; ensuring appropriate and robust systems around financial control
- Experience with managing external auditors
The ideal candidate will have the following key characteristics:
- Take ideas from inception all the way to completion and leading people along the way
- Able to hire, manage and mentor direct reports with the goal of enabling them to successfully deliver in their areas, continuously improve against these competencies, deliver meaningful business outcomes, and achieve their career objectives.
