Argyll and Bute Council are looking to recruit a full-time IT Engineer in Security to join our ICT Compliance and Security team. This is an exciting role based within Argyll and Bute, working with cutting-edge solutions and a commitment to security.

As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the council’s digital assets and help implement and maintain security measures to protect our systems, networks and data.

Responsibilities include assisting the ICT Compliance and Security Officer identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities, responding to incidents and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of the political, legislative and policy matters impacting IT security in local governments.
