Job summary

As part of your induction into the Trust you will have a full weeks paid induction which will get you integrated with the Trusts systems and up to date with our mandatory training. You will also get a paid shadow shift in one of our clinical areas where you will be supported in familiarising yourself using our electronic patient record system and getting to know our patients and staff

Vocational qualification at Level 2 in Health or Health Social Care or equivalent ( student nurse)

At least 6 months clinical experience in an acute setting within last 2 years Knowledge of personal patient care and related procedures Understands the need for strict confidentiality Effective communication ability, particularly with patients and their relatives / carers Able to plan and prioritise own workload as delegated by and under the direction of registered nurses and able to report patient condition to senior staff Able to follow policies and protocols Able to undertake routine personal care duties, referring to supervisor where necessary Able to demonstrate an empathetic and caring approach to patients and relatives and respect patient dignity at all times Ability to work within own boundaries within a team Able to use IT systems
