On a mission to transform the energy system to enable our society to reduce our carbon emissions and meet our climate change and net zero ambitions.This company are growing their team and have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who is keen to play their part in the energy transition and enable a greener, more sustainable future for everyone in Northern Ireland. This is a hybrid-working role with a blend of time in a Belfast Office and off-site at project locations across Northern Ireland.Your new role 
You will play a key role within the Networks team. Working collaboratively with a team of expert power system planning engineers, project managers and commercial analysts, you will deliver innovative solutions to reinforce the transmission system and connect new generation and demand customers. The role will involve a combination of office-based working and site visits to both existing and new substations and transmission circuit sites.You will play a role in the pre-construction development of major transmission projects which involves all design and project management activities following project definition, through to securing all required planning approvals and consents to proceed to the detailed procurement and construction stage. The construction and commissioning of transmission projects is then managed externally.What you'll need to succeed 
To fulfil this role as Senior Project Manager successfully, you will have the following;

Engineering degree; or equivalent qualification.Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in managing large infrastructure projects, balancing a proficiency in project management with a developed understanding of power systems.Effective communication skills with an emphasis on high quality report writing and an ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.Strong interpersonal skills to develop positive working relationships and promote collaborative working.Proven ability to work as part of a team, coordinating, coaching and guiding other team members, while also being able to define and guide own work under minimal supervision.Creative, innovative with good analytical skills.Strong commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in all aspects of project implementation.Access to reliable transport to perform all aspects of the role.What you'll get in return
