About the role

We are looking to employ two Workshop Technicians. As a Workshop Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for providing technical support in our workshop environment. Your primary duties will include: - Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on workshop tools and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.- Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of workshop supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability for ongoing projects.- Assistance with Projects: Collaborate with project teams to provide technical support during various stages of project execution, including setup, testing, and troubleshooting. - Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a secure working environment for yourself and others.- Training Support: Assist in training staff and students on the proper use of workshop equipment and tools, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory, facilitating efficient tracking and reporting.- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during workshops or projects, providing timely and effective solutions.- Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to contribute to the overall success of workshop activities.

About you

In a Workshop Technician, we seek the following qualities and qualifications: - Technical Proficiency: A solid background and proficiency in using and maintaining a variety of workshop tools and machinery.- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring smooth workshop operations.- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities, particularly in maintaining inventories, tracking equipment maintenance, and documentation.- Safety Commitment: A dedication to upholding stringent safety standards to create a secure working environment for oneself and colleagues.- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, project stakeholders, and provide clear instructions or assistance.- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the willingness to work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to contribute to overall workshop success.- Adaptability: The capacity to adapt to varying project requirements and handle different types of tasks within the workshop environment.- Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail, ensuring precision in tasks and accurate record-keeping.
