We are looking for an experienced and confident Facilitieslead who will ensure compliance with the National Standards of Cleanliness 2021within a challenging and ever-changing environment.
You will be responsible for the efficient, effective, highquality Domestic service ensuring the cleanliness of the Trust is maintainedfor the safety of our patients. You will also provide technical support to theswitchboard and portering coordinators.
The role requires a customer focused personality with an eyefor detail and a passion for high standards. Working closely with the IPC andMonitoring Teams ensuring best practice is adhered. You will need strongmanagement people skills as you will be responsible for providing guidance andadvice to staff, maintaining budgets, training and ensuring the wellbeing ofthe team.

Main duties of the job
To provide support and assistance to the Facilities Managerin delivering and maintaining a domestic cleaning service that achieves aclean, safe and hygienic patient environment in line with Trust best practice,policies, procedures and KPI's and the National Standards of Cleanliness 2021.
To manage facilities staff in line with Trust Policies andprocedures.
To provide leadership and support to the other facilitiesstaff including switchboard and portering, establishing and developing workingrelationships and regular communications between ward and departmental managerswithin the Trust.

Job Purpose:
As a member of the Facilities Management team the post holder will be required to provide leadership and support for duty managers, supervisors and staff to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of operational targets and drive further service improvements.
The delivery of objectives within the Facilities business plan.
Provide operational lead to modernise and motivate the workforce effectively in order to deliver business plans and support the organisation.
The professional advisor for Cleaning, Linen, and Switchboard Standards including associated service contracts within the Facilities Team.
Directly line manage Housekeeping, Laundry and Switchboard Services for patients, visitors and staff at the Alexandra Hospital and support Kidderminster Treatment Centre, ensureing that they are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
Budgetary responsibility: circa £5 million and responsible for planning and delivering CIP through productivity and efficiencies in a financially sustainable manner. Responsible for the management of direct line reports for all HR issues including appraisal, annual leave management, sickness management and disciplinary issues. Ensure robust procedures are in place to cover service requirements at all times during periodsof annual leave or sickness through the use of rotas etc. ensuring adequate provision of service at all times

Knowledge of current statutory requirements, standards and regulations for Housekeeping portering and transport services.
