Salary: £95-£100 a day

Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support students with diverse needs, working closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning experiences. This role is crucial in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students with SEN.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
  • Support students in the classroom, during small group activities, and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care needs when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
